Pallet racking is designed for forklift access and pallets weighing several hundred kilograms to a few tonnes. If your team picks cartons, totes, or single items by hand, longspan is faster, cheaper, and safer. If you move full pallets, pallet racking is the right call.

Can I use longspan shelving outdoors or in a cold store?

Standard powder-coated longspan is built for indoor warehouse conditions. For outdoor yards, marine environments, or cold rooms, we can quote galvanised frames, stainless fasteners, and moisture-resistant deck options to prevent corrosion and shelf swelling. How long does industrial shelving last?

A well-specified, properly loaded shelving system from a quality supplier should last 15 to 25 years. What is the difference between longspan shelving and pallet racking?

How much aisle space do I need between shelving runs?
